History

  • 1950

    Birth of Ad Dubbelman.
    Founder and CEO of the Dubbelman Group.
  • 1962

    First job and experiences of Ad Dubbelman on the ship
    from his father, Piet Dubbelman (ms ``Tida Kira``).
  • 1966

    Introduction of the transport unit ``container``.
    Its first appearance in Rotterdam.
  • 1967

    Ad Dubbelman, at the age of 17, started as an independent skipper. Because of his young age, with dispensation approval from the government.
  • 1969

    Operation of first vessel (ms 'Qui Vive'). Ad Dubbelman's first experiences as an independent entrepreneur in inland navigation.
  • 1977

    The first voyage with containers by inland barge from Rotterdam to Basel by Ad Dubbelman.
  • 1980

    Founding of Dubbelman Container Transporten. The weekly scheduled service between Rotterdam / Antwerp and the middle and upper Rhine to Basel is started.

    The 1st capacity increase (lengthen the vessel) is a fact.

    Dubbelman Container Transporten expands its services by facilitating several inland vessels.

    Camaro/Camaro I in operation.

    Push barges Camaro XI en Camaro XII in operation.

    Camaro II/Camaro III in operation.

    Camaro IV in operation.
  • 2008

    Motorized push barges Camaro IX en Camaro X in operation.

    Opening new office building on the Nieuwlandsedijk in Lage Zwaluwe.

    New corporate identity with a ditto website

    New reefer specialized inland vessel Camaro V/Camaro VI in operation.

    New ``state of the art`` inland vessel Camaro VII in operation.

    Integration and takeover by Sogestran Logistics, making Dubbelman Container Transporten part of the Sogestran Group since August 2021.
