Expanding service and capacity

Dubbelman Container Transporten will add the barge combination Vrido I/Vrido II to its fleet from 1 January 2024. The purpose of this cooperation is to expand our Upper Rhine capacities and the number of weekly sailings. In addition, we expect to offer our customers even more flexibility and reliability with our services between mainly the seaports of Antwerp/Rotterdam and the entire Upper Rhine sailing area up to Basel-Birsfelden in Switzerland. With the owners of Vrido I/Vrido II, Kees and Marco, we meet an old acquaintance within our organisation; Marco has worked as a captain on one of our barge combinations for many years and therefore knows not only our organisation but also our DNA and corporate culture.

Managing Director Petric Dubbelman;
‘We are very pleased to enter into this cooperation with our own Dubbelman/Camaro team. It means we can further strengthen our position on the Upper Rhine and have ‘in-house’ opportunities to further expand services and reliability to and from Strasbourg, Ottmarsheim, Weil am Rhein and Basel-Birsfelden. Despite the current difficult market, we are clearly opting here for a long-term strategy where we want to offer our well-respected customers and relations the best possible performance. For them, we want, can and must be an absolute added value in the transport chain’.

We wish the crew of Vrido I/Vrido II the best of luck and a Welcome Aboard within our organisation.
